Hospice El Paso relies on the talents and dedication of volunteers to provide and enhance our unique services and programs, and to make a difference in the lives of others. Training is available. For long-term assignments, TB tests and background checks are required. An orientation will help prepare you for success!
Crafting – Meet regularly to make pillows, treats or goody bags for patients and their families!
Pinning Ceremonies – Honor the service of our veterans by pinning them during a special ceremony.
Patient Companion – Sit with our patients, offering socialization and companionship by holding a hand, reading, listening or just offering a quiet presence.
Respite Volunteer – Your compassionate visit allows the primary caregivers to run errands, attend appointments or have a few hours to themselves.
Runners – At our Center for Compassionate Living, volunteers can bring water, extra blankets or just sit for a while with patients.
Special Events – At our fundraisers or outreach events, volunteers can help in numerous ways including setup, teardown, greeting guests and more.
Administrative Volunteers – Help with light office duties, including calling for follow-ups, filing, shredding and more.
Drives – Manage and coordinate supply drives for our patients, including holiday gifts, books, blankets, socks and more!
